We ordered several dishes and then dessert. Everything we tried was simply amazing! The vegetable fried rice was the best I have ever had!!

My wife and I were passing through Ft. Madison as part of a trip around Iowa (long story). We decided to spend the night at the Kingsley Inn, and asked for a referral for someplace to eat on a Saturday. One of the recommendations was Simple Table, so we said - Ok, let's give it a try! I'm sure glad we did.This charming, intimate dining experience was worth the stop in Fort Madison by itself (there are other reasons to go there too though, so please visit FM). The food was unique, tasty and filling. I enjoyed an Iowa pork chop with carrots & peanuts, along with a corn bisque; everything was perfect! The couple that owns this wonderful restaurant has quite a story behind their success, so I urge you to ask about it. I look forward to traveling through FM again someday and when I do, I will be stopping at this restaurant for dinner.

Amazing food, great staff. Lots of of dishes have Japanese influences. If you go here make sure to try the House Cured Salmon appetizer!

Great food and great service. We love the daily specials, but they have amazing menu items too.

The food is delicious. The decor is clean yet full of character. The staff is friendly. The menu is trendy and small, which can be both good and bad. It's nice not to flip through a book to figure out what I want, but at the same time, their menu can be a bit repetitive. The menu is still really unique for the area. I normally have to drive an hour to find something similar. Also, the pricing is a little bit high. Anyway, Simple Table is great, but it can be better.

I got the Smoked Salmon Cobb Salad with sweet potato fries. The salmon was very good. The wasabi dressing was recommended and very good as well. A great place to eat.

Should be called Perfect Table... from eclectic artwork and furnishings to light and fresh yet satisfying food, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch there. Service was fast and SUPERB! You have two new fans!

This is a classy little diamond in the rough. Japanese married with Colorado freshness, you'll be delighted with these ecclectic dishes served in a quaint, cozy, homey atmosphere. In warmer weather there's outdoor seating. Definitely try the fresh squeezed juices! They also serve a great Japanese Plum Wine and sake. I had the house cured salmon sushi with garden grown tomato & avocado Caprese salad. The lady who waited on us was charming and beautiful, and the restaurant owners were there singing happy birthday to a guest. Very nice place to go for a date or bring a guest from out of town. Reasonable prices for very fresh, tasty culinary surprises.
